Conference and Workshop Information

Workshop

The workshop will be held in our Comms lab (ENG 273), which is on the second floor of the engineering building (building in purple on attached map). Parking for workshops can be seen in red.

The conference will be held in the CTC, which is teal on the map, and the red parking area next to it as well.

Paper Submissions

All paper submissions will be handled by our Janeway system hosted by Iowa State University’s DigitalPress site. Please click the button below for more information and links to submit your paper! Please note the following dates.

    Technical Workshop

    For AHAC 2025, some technical workshops are being planned. These will be held on June 24th. Two workshops are planned for Tuesday, June 24th.

    Tuesday Morning:

    How to fly Pico Balloons around the World, including demos of LoRa and Meshtastic - Presented by Bill Brown WB8ELK

    Tuesday afternoon:

    How to build the AMSAT CubeSAT Simulator that can be flown on a high-altitude balloon. Presented by Dr. Wayne McCain, KS0S, and David Ausley, WB4NCT.

    Conference

    AHAC will be held for two days towards the end of the week-long event. Presentations, keynote speakers, and a poster event are all planned for AHAC 2025.

    Attendees of the Stratospheric Ballooning Association's upcoming conference in Huntsville, Alabama, will have the opportunity to experience the region's rich history in space exploration.
